Our Story.....
The C’est la Vie flagship store, located in downtown Edmonds Washington, was established in 2001.
After four successful years, owner Colleen Bowman, along with her husband Michael, and a wonderful sales staff, decided to take the opportunity to move to a much larger retail space, just two blocks south on Fifth Avenue.
The C'est la Vie store, is an intimate and sophisticated artisan boutique whose contemporary jewelry, clothing and home furnishings empower customers to express their individuality.
We want our customers to discover a warm and inviting environment that inspires conversation and community.
C’est la Vie now operates under an ownership team made up of Colleen, the original creator, Michael Bowman, proud husband of Colleen and certified Webmaster, plus the Spring 2008 addition of Susan Dunn, once just an employee, fan and friend. She shares her intrinsic retail savvy, as a member of one of Seattle’s founding retail families.
This ownership team, together with an amazing staff of creative and caring women, daily navigate the choppy waters of today’s retail economy and enjoy experiencing the positive vibes of the customers in Edmonds and those that find us on the web!
Colleen is the lead buyer, visionary, merchandiser for our store. Her attention to detail keeps our merchandise constantly changing and always new and fresh. However, Colleen’s favorite part of the retail experience is still meeting and talking with people every day.
Michael is an extremely productive webmaster. Through his vision and perseverance, www.clvcatalog.com has achieved enormous success. We’ve recently released our new website and hope you’re as thrilled with the changes and additions, as we are. For those of you who are new guests to our website, welcome! We have an amazing staff ready to help you at C’est la Vie. The staff consists of women who were customers first, and they want to continue to share the positive shopping experience that is C’est la Vie.
